Those share bikes that are found in some major cities around the world are a great initiative, but always leave you wanting a bit more, and a bit less at the same time… more speed, more capability, less heft. We lose sight of their intended purpose, because we want to ride them like the roadie, the mountain biker, the ‘crosser or BMXer that resides in us.
Steven Bafus is a dirt jumper who isn’t bound by the same restrictions most of us are. He can grab a Pronto share bike like the ones found in Seattle and make that green monster sing, slide and pop. But he doesn’t lose sight of the purpose, and utilises the basic transport aspect to check out the latest art installation from John Grade called Middle Fork.
