First Time Friday with The Mark of Cain
If this is likely the First Time you’ve heard The Mark Of Cain, then welcome. Welcome to the 90s, welcome to Australia, welcome to a time when music was intense and vital and powerful. When the heat of the night air was intensified in whatever small, dark, dingey pub you happened to find yourself crammed into, or whatever hot, dry, dusty paddock masquerading under the banner of a festival you were suffering heatstroke at, was the most welcoming place on earth. Where the music taunted and terrified you, spat in your face and punched you in the guts, then kicked you in the head while you were doubled over from the initial blow, as you pulled yourself up off the floor of this hellish, glorious pit. Thank god for The Mark Of Cain, and god bless Australia and the halcyon days of the 90s.
