SSWC2017: The Seven Year Itch
Has it really been seven years since the Singlespeed World Championships in Rotorua? Well yes it has. Memories from that weekend are hazy at best, and some are best left locked safely in the vault (I’m looking at you Messrs Schnell and Kilvington).
If you weren’t there then this recap video presented by Flow’s Chris Southwood will let you in on what went down on race day, as hundreds of crazily-costumed pain-junkies rode all manner of gearless contraptions around two laps of a punishing 18km loop through the Redwoods, some for the glory, most for the good times.
This year’s SSWC takes place on November 18, with entries opening aptly on April 1. If you’re or you miss it, either way you’re probably a fool.
