It was when mountain biking was full of freshness and blind innovation, when bikes were for one for all terrain and riders were still concentrated on racing and going up was more important than going down. While the rest of the world was Lycra’d up and hitting heart rates, some renegades in British Columbia were going big, baggy and hitting lines that no-one in their right mind would consider riding a bike down.

The Moment looks at the early BC freeride scene and its birth in a nondescript pit that would change the way we all rode our bikes forever, even if we would never come close to the craziness of those pioneers.

The Big Bike Film Night is screening The Moment in February all around New Zealand.
