Ted King seems to be a proper dude. Escaping the circus that is Pro road racing and doing it for the love, rather than the likes, hitting some of the hardest gravel races in the world and usually mixing it up at the pointy end, even if that’s not the motivation for pinning on a number.

Iceland may not be the most hospitable place on earth for riding bicycles, and every account I’ve seen of people doing that has left me with a sense of ‘that looks incredible, but fuck that’. The Rift ‘gravel’ race looks more suited to mountain bikes and hiking boots than 40c’s and carbon soles, with volcanic stones as big as your hand and plenty of steep grunts not usually found in the typical groad grinder. Best to watch from afar and let Ted and Tinker take it on.
